Our workforce programs help our employees make their goals a reality. Our employees have the chance to receive guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals.
We offer a number of programs to help our employees progress professionally. We are committed to helping our employees excel in their positions, advance in their careers, and complete their college degrees. Below are some of the ways we do this.
Our PCAs work closely with nursing staff members to care for our patients. PCAs perform important tasks relating to the care of our patients, including:
If you are interested in gaining patient care experience, we offer an on-site training PCA training program. This program is five weeks long and combines classroom learning and clinical practice. When you complete your formal instruction, you will begin training in your assigned unit as you transition to working independently.
For employees who are originally from other countries, the path to U.S. citizenship can be difficult. We work with Jewish Vocational Service to offer free U.S. citizenship classes to our employees and their family members. In these classes, you’ll learn about many areas that will be required on your citizenship test, including U.S. history and civics.
In addition, you have the opportunity to take part in our ESOL courses, which we offer throughout the year to help you master the English language while you continue to work toward your personal and professional goals.
In today’s fast-paced health care field, workers must have a vast array of skills and experience in order to meet our patients’ needs. Our New Graduate Registered Nurse program connects new graduates with clinical faculty members in the classroom and nurse educators in their area of service. Some of the specialties the program can focus on include:
After you complete your classroom instruction, you’ll enter a structured program to help you learn the essential clinical and patient care skills you’ll need to be successful in your new position
We know your life is busy, and it can be tough to balance the demands of work and family while you pursue opportunities to further your education. That’s why we provide access to Mass General Brigham programs such as the Online College Preparation Program.
OCPP is a web-based platform that supports those who want to learn on their own schedule, at their own pace, and in a location they choose. Our virtual learning communities let you develop the confidence and ability to succeed in college courses while promoting discussion and peer-to-peer support.
Our Advancing Careers through Education program provides access to academic and career coaching, as well as on-site college placement testing and preparation. We partner with Quinsigamond Community College to earn college credit toward an online course in medical terminology. This program can help you increase your job satisfaction, improve your job performance, and open the door to a college education.
