The human vascular system is made up of arteries and a multitude of blood vessels that supply blood, oxygen and nutrients to every part of the body. A variety of conditions can result in vascular blood flow becoming insufficient to meet the body's needs. When this happens vascular surgery is most often required. Vascular surgeons are physicians with highly specialized training and skills who specialize in the surgical treatment of arteries and veins.
Newton-Wellesley Hospital offers excellence in vascular and endovascular surgery with the gentle touch that Newton-Wellesley is known for. Located in Boston's western suburbs, we are a convenient option for communities throughout Metro West, including Newton, Wellesley, Framingham, Natick, Dedham, Waltham and Watertown. Newton Wellesley Hospital is host to several Vascular Surgery practices and providers.
As part of our collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital, we offer patients the expertise of Abhisekh Mohapatra, M.D, as well as the benefit of state-of-the-art surgical facilities at our location at Newton Wellesley Hospital.
In collaboration with The Vascular Care Group, we offer patients the expertise of surgeons R. Todd Lancaster, M.D., Chief of Vascular Surgery, and Christopher Kwolek, M.D. They treat NWH patients at their practice located down the road on Worcester Street.
