How Does the Online Application Process Work?

Please visit our How to Apply page to learn about our online application process and to access step-by-step instructions.

What Happens to My Application When I Apply Online?

Your application will be attached to the position to which you applied and will automatically route to the appropriate recruiter for review based on qualifications and requirements of the position.

Can I Fill Out a Paper Application or Send You My Resume?

Our online application through our website is the best and preferred method to use when applying for a job as it is the fastest, most efficient way to get your information to the appropriate recruiter for review. If you do not have access to a computer, you are welcome to use the computers we have available in our reception area. Once you complete an applicant profile, you can easily update your resume or contact information, apply for other positions, and check the status of positions for which you have applied.

How Do I Know If My Application/Resume Has Been Received?

Our system generates an auto-reply email once you have submitted your application.

When Can I Expect to Hear Back Regarding My Application?

You will receive an auto-reply email to confirm receipt of your application. Based on priority and volume, time frames will vary by position. If your qualifications meet our needs, we will contact you regarding the position. Because of the large volume of applications we receive, we are only able to contact candidates a second time who best match the requirements for the position.

Can I Apply for More Than One Job?

Yes, you can apply to more than one job; however, please apply only to jobs that fit your qualifications and match the schedule that you are available to work.

Can I Submit a Resume for General Consideration?

Our process is to review applications and resumes for current openings. If you do not see the job that you are interested in, we update our postings regularly and encourage you to check back.

How Long Is My Application Kept on File?

All applications will remain active for one year. We encourage you to go online to update your profile as needed to ensure your contact information and work history are current.

What Should I Do If I’m Having Difficulty Submitting My Application Online?

For technical issues or questions, you may email us or call our Human Resources Department at 617-243-6768.

What Kinds of Positions Does Newton-Wellesley Have Available?

We hire individuals for a variety of positions in both clinical and nonclinical areas. We have opportunities in:

  • Allied health
  • Clinical/support services
  • Nursing
  • Professional/administrative areas

You may see a complete listing of open positions with brief descriptions and qualifications on our Job Opportunities page.

How Can I Find Out What the Salary Range Is for an Open Position?

We offer competitive compensation and benefits. Salary is determined based on the range for the position and depends on the skills and experience of the individual. If you meet the requirements of the position, you will be contacted, and salary can be discussed at this time.

What Steps Are Involved in the Hiring Process?

If we determine that your qualifications are the best match for a particular position, we will contact you. If we select you for an interview, you will meet with a Human Resources Generalist for a screening interview.

Should you be considered for hire, Human Resources will obtain employment references and verifications; criminal background checks; and, if required, education and licensure verifications and other applicable screenings. All offers of employment are pending the completion of all background checks and a pre-employment assessment with our Employee Health Department.

Where Is the Human Resources Department Located?

The Human Resources department is located on the Newton-Wellesley Hospital campus in the Allen-Riddle Building, second floor. Get directions to the hospital.

When coming in for an interview, park in the visitors parking lot located near the Surgical Center entrance. Follow the signs to Allen-Riddle building. We are also accessible by public transportation.

What If I Forget My User ID and/or Password?

If you forget your user ID and/or password after creating an account to apply for a position, click on the “Sign In” link in the top right of the Job Opportunities page, and then click on either the “Forgot your user name?” or “Forgot your password?” link.
