At the Center for Weight Loss Surgery at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, people come to us for bariatric surgery from throughout Greater Boston and all of New England, due to the expertise and experience of our team as well as our caring, personal approach.
We will work closely with you to find out what weight loss surgery option would be best for your health and what to consider when choosing to have bariatric surgery. We care deeply about each person who comes to us for weight loss help.

The medical professionals at the Center are committed to providing you with lifelong support as you undergo weight loss surgery. In addition to ongoing education, virtual classes and support groups, we offer access to Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s Shipley Fitness Center to incorporate fitness and well-being into your care plan.
Our Center is fully accredited by the combined program for the American College of Surgeons and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. We offer access to various specialists and departments throughout the hospital and the Mass General Brigham system. We emphasize that while bariatric surgery is not a cure for obesity, we know that it is an effective way to reduce excess weight and control the serious conditions that result from obesity. We are here to help and support you.
