The Division of Cardiology provides comprehensive consultative, diagnostic and therapeutic services providing a continuum of care for patients with or at high risk for cardiovascular disease. We focus on diagnosis, acute and chronic medical management, and preventative services.
As a member of Mass General Brigham we have the benefit of collaborating closely with our colleagues across the system. We are able to offer the best available cardiac interventional, electrophysiologic, and cardiac surgical services. Our cardiologists are board-certified and provide elective or urgent consultations as necessary. Diagnostic non-invasive testing includes multiple modes of 30-day and 24-hour ambulatory electrocardiography, a full spectrum of exercise and pharmacologic stress testing, and anticipated advanced cardiac imaging with Cardiac MRI and Coronary CT Angiography. We also provide the full range of medical services for the treatment of valvular heart disease, acute and chronic ischemic syndromes, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, and coronary risk factors. Additional services include electrophysiology consultation and device implantation, anticoagulation and cardiomyopathy clinics, and rehabilitative cardiology. The Division of Cardiology is actively involved in the hospital's medical education programs, both at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. The service continues to participate in clinical cardiovascular research.
