The birth of your baby marks the transition from pregnancy to parenthood. To help you celebrate this event with comfort and confidence, we have compiled the following information about your stay at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and what to expect during the first days and weeks after giving birth. Download our Postpartum Guide. This will be an exciting time as you develop your special relationship with your baby and learn how to provide for yourself and your child.
In addition to reading our Postpartum Guide, we also offer a virtual Postpartum Group for mothers who are interested. Led by a Certified Nurse Midwife, this free, drop-in group provides a welcoming space for mothers to share information and offer support. The group is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10-11:30 a.m.
Join the Zoom meeting with Meeting ID: 845050264 or call 1-646-876-9923 with Meeting ID: 845050264#

The mission of the Maternal Child Health Service is to provide exemplary care throughout the continuum of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal periods. Brigham and Women's/Newton-Wellesley Obstetrics is committed to family-centered maternity care. We support and encourage those persons who are significant in your life to participate in your hospital experience.
