Newton-Wellesley offers the services and expertise of a major medical facility with the convenience and personal attention of a community hospital. If you have a need we cannot meet, your doctor can refer you within the Mass General Brigham system.
One of these advanced tools is the electronic medical record (EMR). In 2005, the Hospital began implementing a new Web-based technology to create one common electronic patient record that could be accessed when patients visit Newton-Wellesley, one of our affiliated physician practices or any of the Mass General Brigham institutions and practices. The use of an electronic medical record provides many benefits for patients. Having their health information easily accessible and available to all of their physicians helps with both the accuracy of diagnosis and avoids the potential duplication of costly services.
Our office also provides access to Mass General Brigham Patient Gateway – a secure, electronic link between patients and our office. This online communication technology allows patients to set up an account to request appointments, refill prescriptions, get referrals and submit health concerns.
Mass General Brigham Patient Gateway
