Who Your Gift Helps

At Newton-Wellesley Hospital, we are healers and caregivers who are deeply committed to bringing people support and hope when they need it most.  We ensure that our patients receive care from the right provider, have the right patient experience, and have it at the right cost.  Your generosity keeps patients at the center of everything we do. Connecting our patients with high-quality care in their own community to support overall health and wellness is the monumental mission on which we embark.  No matter what area you choose to support, you are furthering everything that makes Newton-Wellesley your exceptional community hospital.

Gifts in support of staff

Creating an endowed position for a Chair, Chief, Director or Distinguished Scholar at Newton-Wellesley recognizes a physician’s extraordinary leadership and numerous contributions to the hospital in addition to supporting their department’s efforts.  Ranging from $1M and above, these endowed positions serve as a sustainable resource for the hospital in perpetuity and ensure Newton-Wellesley can continue to attract, recruit and maintain the finest specialists and provide outstanding care to patients.

Gifts in support of facilities and equipment

Support of capital projects allows us to enhance and maintain our physical plant while making sure we have the most updated and innovative equipment available to the patients we serve. Patient and operating rooms, state-of the-art equipment and technology, etc. can be named with gifts and pledges of $100,000 or more. Gifts in support of programs

Newton-Wellesley must continue to secure philanthropic dollars to provide stability and sustainability to services and programs that are key to the health and wellbeing of our community both in the short-term and long-term.

Endowed Fund: Established with a gift or pledge of $100,000 or more, endowed funds provide support in perpetuity, securing the long-term health of the programs or projects they benefit via sustaining revenues.

Current-Use Fund: Established with a gift or pledge of $50,000 or more, current use funds provide immediate resources to a program or physician to meet urgent needs or jumpstart promising new projects, enabling rapid progress.

NWH Fund: Annual support of The NWH Fund gives Newton-Wellesley Hospital the flexibility to meet the most urgent needs of our patients. Gifts of any size make a difference to our patients and staff. To learn more about our NWH Fund and the 1881 Pillar Society, click here.
