Our radiation oncology team offers Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT). IMRT involves shaping radiation beams to precisely match a tumor’s shape, while IGRT involves using imaging technologies such as CT and MRI scans to accurately deliver radiation to cancer cells.

Mass General Cancer Center’s radiation oncology is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR provides a third-party, impartial peer review and evaluation of patient care. Before granting accreditation, the ACR assesses quality and safety of patient care, documentation of policies and procedures, equipment maintenance, and treatment planning records for quality control and documentation.
