Breast Cancer Screening

In partnership with the Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s Women's Imaging Center, we offer a wide range of breast cancer screening services, including:

• Amniocentesis
• Bone densitometry
• Breast MRI (as an adjunct to mammography and ultrasound in select cases) - MRI is available  within Newton-Wellesley Hospital
• Breast ultrasound
• Gynecologic ultrasound
• Mammography (screening and diagnostic)
• Obstetric ultrasound
• Stereotactic and image-guided biopsies

If a screening returns positive diagnosis for cancer, a team of Newton-Wellesley Hospital cancer doctors from medical oncology, radiation oncology and surgical oncology can meet with the patient to determine the best treatment plan. We also offer integrated support services and cancer support groups for during and after your treatment.

Our Department of Radiology also offers state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures, including Positron emission tomography (PET). Learn more about PET scans
