Inpatient Consults
 Our certified diabetes nurse educators in the Diabetes Management Program are available for consultations. They work with newly diagnosed patients and also meet with patients who have pre-diabetes, gestational diabetes and type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Our team provides a variety of services, including:
- home glucose monitoring
- hypoglycemia management
- insulin education
- insulin pump education
- medication education
The team is also available to provide nurse-to-nurse consults and to answer diabetes-related questions from other patient care providers throughout Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
