Waltham Urgent Care Center:
Pre-Registration FAQs

What is online pre-registration?
For unscheduled same-day visits, online registration allows you to alert our team that you are on your way to the Waltham Urgent Care Center. You may also pre-register for scheduled procedures and appointments - such as scheduled wound checks and scheduled IV antibiotics.

What services/appointments qualify for online pre-registration?
Online pre-registration is available for unscheduled, same-day visits and for scheduled procedures and appointments.

Why should I pre-register online?
Pre-registering online helps to expedite your visit by shortening the process at the time of your visit.

Do you accept my insurance?
It is your responsibility to understand your health plan’s requirements. Call your health plan provider to make sure you understand how much they will pay and what they will cover.

Do I need a referral?
Yes, if you have an HMO plan. This referral can be obtained from your PCP up to 4 days after your visit.

Do I have to use online pre-registration?
While it is not required that you pre-register, doing so may expedite your visit by eliminating a complete review of your demographic and insurance data at the time of your appointment.

How do I know if my pre-registration was processed?
You will receive a confirmation email within 15 minutes of submission of the pre-registration process. If you do not receive this email, please call us at 617-243-5590 to confirm.

I am heading over to the Urgent Care Center in just a few minutes. Can I still submit my pre-registration form?
Yes, you may submit your pre-registration form up to 15 minutes before you visit the Waltham Urgent Care Center. We will process your registration as soon as we receive it. Please note that we will NOT process your form if submitted less than 30 minutes before we close.
