This year’s Boston Magazine list was again taken from a survey conducted by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd, a healthcare researcher that also publishes America’s Top Doctors, a guide to the country’s top 1% of medical specialists. Castle Connolly’s physician-led research team uses mail and phone surveys and electronic ballots to ask physicians and the medical leadership of leading hospitals to identify highly skilled, exceptional doctors. From that group, it identified 650 top Boston-area doctors across 57 specialties.

“All of our esteemed physicians make enormous contributions to Newton-Wellesley Hospital each and every day and continuously work hard, along with our nurses and staff, to ensure high quality care is given to every patient who walks through our doors,” said Michael Jellinek, MD, President of Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
