Physician Development Transition PlanAs you may know, Greg Pauly assumed his new responsibilities as the Chief Operating Officer of the Massachusetts General Physician’s Organization on Monday, October 5, 2009. Mindful of other cost management initiatives at the Hospital, the Executive Management Team has decided to reassign Executive Management responsibilities in the follow manner:In addition to his current responsibilities as CFO, Dan Gross will assume responsibility for real estate, leases, and Medical Office Building issues. Additionally, Facilities & Engineering, Safety, Security & Parking, and Business Planning & Development will now report to Dan. Les Selbovitz, MD, CMO, will continue to oversee inpatient physician activity and contracting, with on-going support from Medical Affairs. Elaine Bridge, CNO, will assume responsibility for the Hospitalist service for operational issues, Urgent Care Center, Pharmacy, Neurophysiology and Respiratory Therapy. Ellen Moloney, Vice President for Outpatient Services, will expand her role to include the Joint Center in addition to the other three centers of excellence. Ellen’s role will also include all ambulatory physician practices and she will be the primary contact for ambulatory physician contracting. Please join me in congratulating our leadership team on their newly expanded roles! From Michael Jellinek, MD |
