Medical Staff Leadership 2010Henry M. Lerner, MD, will assume the office of Medical Staff President for 2010 on December 16. Dr. Lerner is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Medical School and did his OB/GYN training at University of California, San Francisco. He has been a member of the Newton-Wellesley staff for 30 years in his private practice, Newton-Wellesley Obstetrics & Gynecology. His special interests relevant to this role include medicolegal issues, and he is a past member of the Promutual Board. He has published on the subjects of shoulder dystocia and miscarriage.Alan Semine, MD, from the Department of Radiology was elected as Vice President and will assume the Presidency for 2011. Drs. Steven Pestka (Treasurer), Alan Glaser (Secretary), and Mike Lew (AMA-OMSS Representative) were reelected to their positions. The new members of the Executive Committee include Robert McIntyre, MD, Jeanne Richard, MD, and Paul Satwicz, MD. They replace Drs. William Liaw, Alan Green, Tim Pederson, and Martin Weiss (also the past President), whose terms expire at the end of this year.
