Pathology
Dr. Sauder is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency training at Case Western Reserve University Hospital. In addition, Dr. Sauder has completed a year of fellowship training in cytopathology at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in Gastrointestinal Pathology at the Ameripath Institute of Gastrointestinal Pathology in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Sauder is the Medical Director of Surgical Pathology and will work closely with the Lab physician team. His expertise in gastrointestinal pathology will add additional specialization within the department. Center for Weight Loss Surgery
Rajan Chahal, MD, joins Newton-Wellesley Hospital as General and Bariatric Surgeon at the Center for Weight Loss Surgery. Dr. Chahal received his medical degree from Albany Medical College 2003. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, where he was also appointed chief resident.
Dr. Yood joined Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Hospital of Saint Raphael in 1999 as an attending surgeon. In 2004, Dr. Yood was appointed the Director of Laparoscopic Education at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and subsequently, he was appointed Chief of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Director of the Minimally Invasive/Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at The Hospital of Saint Raphael. Dr. Yood has published numerous articles and book chapters on laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery and is committed to providing the best surgical care to patients using minimally invasive techniques. In addition to laparoscopic bariatric surgery, Dr. Yood has extensive expertise and interest in laparoscopic anti-reflux procedures, paraesophageal hernia repair, treatment of achalasia, ventral and inguinal hernia repair, colectomy and solid organ removal. |
