Vernon Cancer Center Project Update

The Vernon Cancer Center Project is proceeding on schedule for a summer 2009 opening.  

Demolition and excavation work is complete. Major fall milestones include installation of the new air handling unit on the roof of the South Wing and completion of all concrete work. Work is progressing on the linear accelerator vault, which will have the equivalent shielding of a seven foot thick concrete wall. 

Fit out of the MGH radiation oncology area and the NEHOA medical oncology suite will begin this winter.
