DECISION SUPPORT & BUSINESS PLANNING - Annie Huppert
A native of central Massachusetts, Annie is thrilled to return to the Commonwealth to begin her career in health care at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Annie earned her Masters in Public Health in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in April of 2009. At Michigan, Annie served as the Chair of the Health Policy Students Association. She combines an interest in policy and system change with the desire to have a direct, positive impact on patient care. Her internship at Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, MA uncovered a love of the community hospital setting, which continues here at NWH.
Prior to graduate school, Annie worked for four years in Washington, DC at Greer, Margolis, Mitchell and Burns (GMMB), a strategic communications and public relations firm dedicated to creating change through integrated campaigns spanning a variety of disciplines. Her work with a variety of health-related clients helped to spark a passion for the field, as did a growing knowledge of her father’s health care work, career and vision.
Annie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College, where she studied Politics and Sociology. She is a marathon runner, a cappella singer and avid Red Sox fan who is very happy to, once again, call Massachusetts home.
