Nuclear Medicine
Serving communities throughout Greater Boston, The Department of Nuclear Medicine at Newton-Wellesley Hospital performs a number of different nuclear medicine procedures to meet the needs of our patients. Using small amounts of radioactive substances to image the body and treat diseases, our Nuclear Medicine radiologists are able to examine patient's organs, trace body processes and diagnose abnormalities without having to perform invasive surgery or more complex diagnostic testing.

Nuclear medicine procedures are usually painless and allow specialists to examine patient's organs, trace body processes and diagnose abnormalities without having to perform invasive surgery or more complex diagnostic testing.

We are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Radiation Control.
