Pediatric Nephrology
This service evaluates diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract occurring in infants, children, and adolescents. These include hematuria, proteinuria, urinary tract infections, congenital renal diseases, enuresis and voiding problems, kidney stones, and hypertension. Newton-Wellesley patients requiring renal replacement therapy benefit from the service’s close working relationship with the Division of Transplant Surgery and the Dialysis Unit at Massachusetts General, which evaluate and treat chronic renal failure and end-stage renal disease.
