About Us
 Newton-Wellesley Hospital Laboratory is a comprehensive diagnostic facility that is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
Through our modern facility, Newton-Wellesley Laboratory processes over 2.3 million billable laboratory procedures annually. Clinical and Anatomic Laboratory services are provided not only to Newton-Wellesley but to referring Partners and area hospitals, nursing homes, physicians’ offices, clinics and VNA home health agencies.
Our Laboratory has extensive testing capabilities in the following areas:
- Blood Bank
- Chemistry
- Cytology
- Hematology
- Histology
- Microbiology
- Serology
Testing capabilities include a vast majority of routine tests, as well as a variety of esoteric procedures. 98% of all testing is performed at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Specialized reference testing is done in conjunction with the Mayo Medical Laboratories.
Our comprehensive blood transfusion services are licensed by the FDA and includes autologous blood donation, therapeutic phlebotomy and blood component therapy.
Phlebotomy/Blood Drawing Services
In addition to phlebotomy services at the main hospital, we have several conveniently located Patient Service Centers in the surrounding communities of Wellesley, Weston, Waltham, Natick, and Walpole.
