About Us

The Physicians in the Department of Family Medicine are trained to provide health care services to patients of all ages. Members of the department provide family-centered care to all, including close monitoring of the pregnant patient, and routine newborn care. They also provide care for children, from infancy through adolescence to adulthood.  The department’s focus is on preventative health care and the importance of the family unit. 

Some members of the Department have a special interest in women’s health, providing routine gynecologic and reproductive health services in their offices.  Others have special training and certification in Geriatrics or Sports Medicine and provide special care to those groups of patients. Many of Newton-Wellesley’s Family Medicine physicians hold faculty appointments at the Tufts University School of Medicine and teach students and residents in their offices.
