Ready to Respond
It is important to recognize the signs and symptoms of a stroke so you can act quickly. Like a heart attack, a stroke is a life-and-death emergency. People with the signs and symptoms of a stroke, must receive medical treatment as quickly as possible.
Our Stroke Team is ready to respond immediately to be certain that critical elements of care are performed within a specific period of time. For instance, clot-busting drugs can reduce long-term disability for the most common type of stroke if given within three hours of the start of symptoms.
