Nutrition counseling is a valuable tool that can benefit the health of people of all ages. Newton-Wellesley Hospital's registered dietitians offer patients the skills and education needed to implement healthy eating guidelines as well as modified diet plans for specific diagnoses.

The Diabetes Management and Outpatient Nutrition clinics are located on the third floor of the main Hospital. Follow signs to the South Elevators, and take to the third floor. Follow signs for Diabetes/Nutrition. The clinic will be in the corridor to the left of the South Elevators.

Nutrition counseling is located on the first floor of the Vernon Cancer Center at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Take the stairs or elevator down to the first floor and check-in with the receptionist for your appointment with the registered dietitian.

Nutrition counseling is located in the Department of Rehabilitation Services on the second floor next to the west elevators.
Why See a Registered Dietition?
Registered dietitians are experts in the nutrition field. To reach this status, dietitians must have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university and coursework approved by the The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship of at least 900 hours
- Completion of a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Massachusetts licensure
- Maintenance of RD credentialing and active status through the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
