As part of a continuing commitment to professional development and organizational excellence, Newton-Wellesley Hospital provides formalized leadership development for all management and supervisory team members, including nursing leaders. Quarterly, off-site, Leadership Institutes provide training opportunities for the Hospital’s unique and results-oriented leadership competencies that are aligned with the Hospital’s goals.
The Leadership Institutes provide an environment that builds consensus within our organization. Local and national speakers from within the health care field, as well as from outside industries, present their theories and strategies for a successful, quality-driven organization. Members of our executive team discuss the status of annual goals and key initiatives and recognize high performing teams and significant accomplishments.
Leaders are challenged to apply the tactics, research, information and data shared at the Institutes to their roles and to the Hospital’s visions of excellence and quality for patient care.
