Nursing Informatics Committee

The Nursing Informatics Committee (NIC) membership is comprised of informatics nurses, clinical educators and staff nurses from inpatient floors using eMAP (electronic Medication Administration Process) and/or electronic Nursing Documentation. The committee meets monthly to review and discuss workflow and process challenges as it relates to documentation in the eMAR (electronic Medication Administration Record), NUR (Nursing Documentation), OM (Order Management) and the Discharge process.

Recommendations are made and members forward them to the appropriate approving committees such as the Pain Subcommittee, Skin Integrity Committee, Falls Committee, or Nursing Leadership.
