Welcome to the Department of Nursing

The profession of nursing provides us with the incredible opportunity and privilege to share in some of the most personal and reflective times in our patients' lives.

At Newton-Wellesley Hospital, our patients' needs and their safety are our top priority. To ensure quality patient care, we offer a supportive work environment and emphasize education, strong teamwork and excellence in recruitment and retention.

  • Education. We participate in the training, education and curricula development of our future nurses and other members of our health care team.
  • Strong Teamwork. Our team members are encouraged to work collaboratively as they integrate technology into their practice environments.
  • Recruitment and Retention. We are committed to continuing education, lifelong learning opportunities, promoting from within and building a talented patient care team.

As the Division of Patient Care Services evolves to meet patients' needs in a dynamic health care environment, we will continue to promote nursing excellence and provide safe, high-quality care.
