Breastfeeding Support Group

The Breastfeeding Support Group at Newton-Wellesley Hospital provides breastfeeding support and assistance to new mothers who have been discharged from the hospital setting.

Our support group began in June 2009 and has already had 150 mother and baby participants. Mothers learn breastfeeding techniques and can ask our lactation consultants breastfeeding questions. Many of our participants find it not only helpful but comforting to hear how other mothers are managing with breastfeeding a new baby.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Where: Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Childbirth Education Room, Allen-Riddle Building

Cost: Free
Eligibility: All new mothers are eligible to participate - whether they delivered at Newton-Wellesley or another hospital. Mothers must have already been discharged from the hospital.
