Medical Oncology
New England Hematology and Oncology Associates (NEHOA), a private practice collaborator located within the Vernon Cancer Center, provides Greater Boston residents advanced cancer care utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to cancer treatment. Our highly specialized oncologists work together to determine the best course of treatment for our patients, and help managing ongoing care. This treatment may include surgery, radiation therapy or chemotherapy.
The medical oncology team is led by board certified physicians who treat the entire spectrum of cancer types, including:
- breast cancer
- colorectal cancer
- gynecological cancer
- lung cancer
- prostate cancer
These physicians are complemented by an experienced, specialty nursing team. The entire medical team, made up of hematologists, oncologists, oncology nurses, social workers and ancillary staff, use advanced protocols and technology to diagnose and treat cancer. They remain involved in all aspects of patient care – from diagnosis to treatment and during long-term, follow-up care.
In addition to cancer treatment, the Vernon Cancer Center also provides cancer screening and diagnosis, integrated support services and cancer support groups for during and after your treatment.
