A diagnosis of breast cancer can be an overwhelming experience. At the Breast Cancer Clinic at the Auerbach Breast Center, we offer a compassionate, patient-centered, multi-disciplinary approach to cancer care.

When a diagnosis of breast cancer is made, patients meet with members of our multi-disciplinary team  - surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and nurses - to discuss treatment options and any other concerns. We create an individualized treatment program for each patient.

Plastic surgeons, physical therapists and social workers are also available to our patients for referral on an individual basis.

When possible, we book appointments with the multi-disciplinary team members on the same day. The team works together to design the best treatment plan for the patient.

Breast Center physicians all practice at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Each has had years of training, specialty credentials and experience in breast care. Our surgeons are highly skilled in the latest breast conservation and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Our oncologists offer the most advanced chemotherapy treatments available, including emerging therapies through participation in national cancer trials.

The Center enhances diagnostic services available at the hospital’s Women’s Imaging Center and pathology department and is also closely linked with surgical services at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, to provide a seamless experience from start to finish.
